On October 18, ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi held a scientific conference on “The study, promotion, presentation, preservation of Azerbaijan culture and development of international relations in the years of independence”.

Congratulating event attendees on this remarkable day director of the museum Academician Rafael Huseynov told about development way of independent Azerbaijan and its achievements after removal of independence. He stated that, Azerbaijan occupied decent place in the line of world countries today.

Academic R.Huseynov reminded Azerbaijan's deep political, economic and social crisis, in the first years of independence as well as Armenia's military aggression and ethnic cleansing carried out against our people. He noted that at the insistence of our people Heydar Aliyev returned to power in 1993 and as a result of his wise policy pursued in the country the threat of destruction and civil war were rescued.

It was noted that during the years of independence the newly younger generation has formed. This generation of young people formed on the basis of the values of the independent Azerbaijan. This youth was just born in the Republic of Azerbaijan and were formed as citizens of an independent state.

Afterwards, Dr. Philology Professor Kamil Allahyarov reported on “Novruz holiday in the independence period” and Dr. Philology Shafag Alibeyli on “Independence period and mother tongue”.
