ANAS Department of Humanitarian Sciences held general meeting on June 16.

The event was attended by the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, members of the bureau, heads of scientific institutions.

Opening the meeting organized by the Presidium, Academician Isa Habibbayli briefed the participants on the issues on the agenda. Academician said that, agenda of the meeting included one issue - holding elections for the academic title of "Professor of ANAS".

Academician Isa Habibbayli brought to attention that the Regulations on the academic title of "Professor of ANAS" were approved by the decision of the Presidium on February 22, 2017 and the competition was announced by the decree of April 19, 2017.

The Vice-President of ANAS informed about the approval of the candidacy of two scientists of the Expert Commission for Humanities. He noted that, one of them is an employee of the Institute of Linguistics, the other is the Azerbaijan University of Languages.

Then, based on the results of the elections held by secret ballot, the names of both candidates were included in the list to be submitted to the Presidium of ANAS.
