ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature held a meeting with a well-known social and political figure Ramiz Abutalibov.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov told about the merits of R.Abutalybov in the study and promotion of Azerbaijani culture, stressed that, he was also a researcher of public and political figures of our country who lived in emigration after the fall of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1920.

It was also noted that, the distinguished scientist was awarded in 1998 by French President Jacques Chirac the highest French award “Honorary Legion” for his contribution to the strengthening and development of Azerbaijani-French relations.

R.Abutalibov thanked academician R.Huseynov for the sincere meeting and noted that, he is interested in the organization of meetings, joint conferences and scientific discussions for the progress of Azerbaijani literature and culture.

In conclusion, R.Huseynov invited the guest to the scientific conference "The Word of Khayyam reunifying nations", which will be held at the Museum in November of this year.

It should be noted that, R.Abutalibov was awarded the personal pension of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 6, 2016 for merits in the study and promotion of Azerbaijani culture.
