In March 2019, the 120th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani great poet, writer and playwright Jafar Jabbarli to be held.

Jafar Jabbarli is one of the unique personalities of Azerbaijani literature of the XX centure, who gained great fame.

The works by Jafar Jabbarli, which laid a new stage in the history of the formation and progress of our drama, were recognized as an important event in the national theater, played an invaluable role in formation of the aesthetic culture of several generations.

Jafar Jabbarli glorified freedom and humanism, the ideals of national freedom and independence. He sought to ensure that our people have achieved a worthy place on the stage of world culture. He sought to ensure that our people have achieved a worthy place on the stage of world culture.

Guided by Article 32, paragraph 109, of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in order to ensure 120th anniversary of prominent Azerbaijani great poet, writer and playwright Jafar Jabbarli, I hereby decree:

1. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan together with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to prepare and implement the action plan dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Jafar Jabbarli, taking into account the proposals of the Writers Union of Azerbaijan.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve issues arising from this Order.
