The literary-musical event "Memory of the century" was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov said that the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day was celebrated as a special holiday in our national calendar and congratulated the participants on the upcoming New Year.

R.Huseynov said that the end of 2018 is rich in holidays and memorable days for our state and people. He recalled that on May 28, 1918, the first parliamentary republic in the Muslim East was formed in Azerbaijan. It was stressed that, despite the fact that it operates for only 23 months, the ADR is brightest pages of our history in the memory of future generations.

R.Huseynov noted that the building of the Museum of Literature witnessed historical events and that the first Cabinet of the Azerbaijani government was here. The speker also touched upon the other activities of ADR.

Students of the Gymnasium of the Azerbaijan National Conservatoire performed a rich concert program at the event. Young talents recited poems dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, performed music and dance numbers.
