ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature after Nizami Ganjavi held scientific session on “Children of Independence” devoted to the May 28 - Republic Day and June 1 - International Children's Day. The event was held in the framework of a joint project of the Department of Scientific Development and Educational Projects and the Organization of Women of the Museum.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov delivered a report. He reported on the historical significance of the first democratic parliamentary republic of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, established on May 28, 1918 in the Muslim East, which played an irreplaceable role in the history of the statehood of our people.

Noting that, after the restoration of independence of Azerbaijan, the country's policy towards children was formed in a new form and content, academician added that, a rich legislative base was created in this area.

During the event, a number of reports were listened. Poetry, music and dancing were performed by young representatives of the public association “Children's Cultural Enlightenment “Aitam””, and the winners were awarded with certificates of honor.
