Scientific workshop devoted to Abunasr Al - Farabi, an outstanding representative of IX-X centuries Eastern philosophy and scientific thought, was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.

At the event, Natavan Bagirova, a researcher at the Museum of Ancient and Medieval Azerbaijani Literature, made a presentation on "Understanding the First Being in Al-Farabi's Philosophy".

Reporter provided information on the period and rich scientific work of the great Turkish philosopher Abunasr al-Farabi. She said that he is the author of numerous works on philosophy, logic, grammar, medicine, geometry and astronomy.
