Released a new poster dedicated to the Nizami Museum Sep 07, 2020 | 10:20 / Important events

National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, which has rendered unparalleled services in the promotion of Azerbaijani literature and culture, is preparing to celebrate its 80th anniversary.

The anniversary of the old museum, which has worked tirelessly for decades to preserve the spiritual treasures of our people and pass them on to new generations, will be celebrated in November by the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev. Preparations are underway at the museum on this occasion. Existing expositions are updated, changes are made in the design of individual halls, and range of exhibits is enriched with new paintings and sculptures.

A new poster of the museum has been released on the occasion of the upcoming anniversary. The poster, authored by academician Rafael Huseynov, Honored Artist of the Republic Stanislav Shatikov and artist Kabira Hashimova, is a mirror of the museum's 80-year journey.

Although the Nizami Museum was established and completed in the early 1940s, it opened its doors to the public only in May 1945, after the victory over fascism, in connection with the involvement of the USSR in World War II, which included Azerbaijan.

Javad Akhundov, the brother of the artist Ismayil Akhundov, one of the first directors of the museum, worked as a photographer of the Nizami Museum for many years and created a photo chronicle of several decades of our literature.

The new poster "Nizami Museum - Bridge of Memory", which was released in mass circulation, can be considered one of the successful contributions to the 80th anniversary of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.
