Committee of Milli Majlis on Culture held 1st meeting on September 19.

The chairman of the committee, Academician Rafael Huseynov informed about the issues on the agenda. He noted that, at previous sessions the committee's activities were productive.

The Committee discussed a number of bills, including amendments to the laws "On the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments", "On Telecommunications", after preparation of the law "On Broadcasting the Cable Network" was presented in the second reading.

The meeting also discussed the bills on amendments to the laws "On the museums" and "On culture".

In Article 26 of the Law "On Museums" the expression "candidate of science" was replaced by the expression "PhD".For simplification of export of the cultural samples from the country made since 1960 a number of new articles are added to the law "About Culture" and in some articles specifications have been made.

After the discussions, both bills were recommended to the plenary session of the Milli Mejlis.
