National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature under the chairmanship of Director of Institut, Academician Rafael Huseynov, held 7th meeting of the Scientific Council on Problems of Philology of the Republican Council for the Coordination of Scientific Research for the current year.

At the meeting were discussed 35 theses from which 5 are presented for the degree of Doctor of Science and 30 are Ph.D.

At the event, was approved the theme of the thesis of Sevinj Hamzayeva on "The problem of demonism in Eastern and Western literature" according to the program of training for PhD of Sumgayit State University and the doctoral student of the correspondence department of the ANAS Nakhchivan Department Ruziya Guliyeva on "Outside the plot narratives and interlude episodes in Azerbaijani couplets".

And the thesis of doctoral student of the Institute of Literature after Nizami Bahar Mammadova on "Azerbaijani poem of the period of independence and modern reality" was renamed and approved under the title "Reflection of reality in Azerbaijani poem of independence period".

Theme of the thesis of dissertators of ANAS Institute of Linguistics Nasimi Naghdali Zamanov on "Heydar Aliyev and the culture of speech" was not approved due to the obsolescence of the topic. The topic of the doctoral student of the Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Veliyev on "Word-writing in the Azerbaijani literary language of the 14th-16th centuries" was not approved due to lack of knowledge of the applicant in the field of Arabic and Persian languages, including the Arabic alphabet.

At the meeting there was also a wide-ranging scientific discussion in the field of thesis topics on the program for the preparation of doctors of philosophy "Quality as a functional semantic sphere in the Azerbaijani language", "Pragmatics of contrast and oxymoron in English", "Problem of folklore atlas in Azerbaijani folklore (based on Agjabedi folklore)","Functional-semantic analysis of the formal interrogative sentence in modern German language", "English language as a means of globalization in the educational disk Ursu","The problem of the formation of the history of Azerbaijani literature in the 20-30's. XX century", "The theme of Azerbaijan in the Turkish literature of the XX century","Lexico-semantic features of flowers in the artistic language", "Stage of Ilya Abu Madi in the Arab emigrant literature "," Azerbaijan children literature and folklore of the early XX century" and "Bibliographic study Heritage of Ali bey Huseynzadeh".

Thus, at the meeting, 18 topics were approved with amendments to 8 of them, and applicants for 17 topics that were not approved and were given appropriate recommendations on the proper registration of their research work.

In the discussions, along with Academician Rafael Huseynov, Aida Gasimova, Atamoglan Hasanov, Azad Musayev, Fahreddin Veisalli, Gazanfar Kazimov, Nadir Mammadli, Gulu Maharramli, Rahil Geybullaev, Shafag Alibeyli, Seifaddin Rzasoy offered their opinions and suggestions.
