The "Spelling Rules of the Azerbaijani Language" project, which is open for discussion by the ANAS Spelling Commission, has been discussed for more than two months in mass media and social networks. Simple citizens of Azerbaijan, media representatives, representatives of social networks, writers, well-known linguists are involved in the discussions. Numerous written and oral appeals have been received to the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi and Spelling Commission.

The composition of the ANAS Spelling Commission includes well-known linguists of our country - academicians and correspondent members, doctors of philology, professors. Proposed materials will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval after the broad discussion with the participation of experts.

The basic criterion for the preparation of the Spelling Rules consists only of the internal development of the Azerbaijani language and the principle of Azerbaijanism in broader sense.

The Speeches Committee of the ANAS expressed its deep respect and reverence to all the individuals and specialists who have made suggestions on the "Spelling Rules of Azerbaijani Language" project.
