ANAS Division of Humanitarian Sciences of the Presidium of ANAS held General meeting on March 1.

The event was attended by the vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, members of the department, heads of scientific institutions, academic secretaries.

Opening the meeting, Academician Isa Habibbayli informed the participants on the issues on the agenda.

First, were discussed the results of admission of PhDs and Doctorate students, the program for the preparation of doctors of sciences for the 2017-2018 academic year. Academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that, when determining the topic of a dissertation, it is necessary to take into account the basic requirements and tasks facing modern science, as well as the important socio-economic and cultural-moral significance of the topics.

The academician-secretary of the department, academician Teymur Kerimli recommended that doctoral candidates and dissertators give preference to topics that are of great importance from the point of view of the future development of the corresponding scientific spheres in the future.

After the discussions, department approved the results of the reception and decided to submit the topics to the Presidium.

At the event, the decisions were made in connection with the approval of the new structure of the Institute of Literature. Nizami Ganjavi and appeal to the Presidium with a request to amend the structure of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fizuli.

In conclusion, were considered a number of personnel issues.
