Heydar Aliyev Center, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, ANAS and the partnership "Hədəf Nəşrləri" held “Reading Day” on April 26.

The goal is to increase the interest in reading, as well as the development of reading skills among adolescents and young people.

At the event, organized under the slogan "Let's read together!", delivered papers by students of 40 secondary schools and lyceums of the capital. With the participation of students, pantomime performances, sketches emphasizing the importance of books, and other presentations were presented. Schoolchildren took part in intellectual competitions, held a flash mob.

During the event, about 30 publishers and libraries presented a book exhibition-fair.

As part of the "Reading Day" also held an exchange of books.
