The scientific session on "The mission of Jafar Jabbarli in our literature and culture" was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after N.Ganjavi of ANAS.

An exhibition dedicated to the life and creativity of the writer was also held within the framework of the session devoted to the 120th anniversary of the great poet, playwright Jafar Jabbarli.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov's report on "Modern Jafar Jabbarli" was listened to at the event. He said the session was held under President Ilham Aliyev's Decree dated December 17, 2018 "On the celebration of the 120th anniversary of Jafar Jabbarli". He noted that the first decade of the twentieth century was rich in works of the writers who brought to Azerbaijan literature new literary creativity methods, genre and variety of styles. The poet, playwright, storyteller, cinematographer, director, actor and public figure, Jafar Jabbarli, has chosen a unique heritage in this context, he said.

He was trying to preserve the purity of the Azerbaijani language in his poet's work and was one of the people who shaped our modern literary language, the speaker added. Academician underlined writer’s "Haci Gara", "Sevil" and "Almaz" works.

R.Huseynov also mentioned the necessity of screening of the feature film, reflecting the life and creativity of Jafar Jabbarli.
