On December 27, National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, a presentation of the next issues of the “Risale” journal was held.

During the event, the book of the museum’s director, academician Rafael Huseynov, “Nashimi without space and time” was also presented to the general public.

Speaking at the ceremony, academician Rafael Huseynov said that 2019 will be remembered for a number of significant events in the history of our country.

Recalling that this year was declared the Year of Nasimi in Azerbaijan, R. Huseynov noted that a number of events were held in the country and abroad in connection with the 650th anniversary of the great thinker Nasimi.

“Over the past half century, Nasimi’s anniversary was celebrated three times at UNESCO,” the scientist said, and noted that the 600th anniversary of the poet’s birthday was celebrated in 1973, the 600th anniversary of his death in 2017 and the 650th anniversary of his birth - in 2019. He brought to the attention that the work of Nasimi was first presented to Azerbaijani readers by Salman Mamtaz in 1926, and his poems were published in the form of a book.

Rafael Huseynov noted that the Museum of Literature also contributed to the Year of Nasimi. So, in many journals and scientific publications were published articles by museum staff about the great thinker Nasimi. These articles were published not only in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian, English, Spanish, but also in many other languages of the world. Meanwhile, the museum issued a calendar and poster dedicated to Nasimi.

The scientist emphasized that one of such valuable works, which conveys the fate and genius of Nasimi to the world community, is the book "Nahimi without space and time." He noted that this book is dedicated to the 650th anniversary of Imadaddin Nasimi, one of the most prominent figures in the history of art speech and thinking in Azerbaijan, who had a great influence on the development of Turkic poetry and philosophical thought. He noted that the book, published in four languages - Azerbaijani, Russian, English and Turkish - is an invaluable contribution to our study.

Speaking about the new issues of the “Risale” scientific journal of the Museum of Literature, R. Huseynov noted that the journal, which covers research on various topics and issues of literature of Azerbaijan, as well as the peoples of the Near and Middle East, the scientific community is presented articles by museum staff, young scientists and researchers on various scientific topics.

Academician R. Huseynov said that “Risale” journal, which is considered one of the most valuable sources in the study of the humanities, is already published with an international standard serial number and is included in the American electronic database “EBSCO”.

At the event, the authors of the articles were presented new issues of the journal “Risale”.
