The society welcomes the state policy systematically implemented in order to protect the health of Azerbaijani citizens, especially the positive results of the steps taken during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These thoughts were expressed in an interview by the director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature after Nizami Ganjavi ANAS, academician Rafael Huseynov. He expressed his attitude to the statements of President Ilham Aliyev in connection with quarantine measures at the opening of three modular hospitals in the village of Saray, Baku, Sumgayit and Absheron districts on June 9. He noted that at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was a serious test for states and peoples, the most obvious indicator of the state of the fight against the virus is statistics.

According to the scientist, the necessary steps taken by the government of Azerbaijan at the first stage of the spread of the virus, allowed the country to circumvent the serious problems faced by a number of countries.

Academician R. Huseynov noted that the small number of people infected with the virus and who died from the virus is due to the consistent and effective work of the state: "It is not by chance that the World Health Organization has rated Azerbaijan as an exemplary country in this area."

He said that among the important thoughts of President Ilham Aliyev on quarantine measures when opening three modular hospitals on June 9, the thought “The Azerbaijani state has shown great responsibility since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic” is a clear confirmation of the work done. The scientist added that the head of state, expressing satisfaction with the organization and discipline shown by our people during the outbreak, again called on every citizen to take this problem with great responsibility.

In conclusion, academician R. Huseynov emphasized that mobilization and responsibility are the most guaranteed way to achieve the desired result in all areas of public life, especially in such sensitive issues.
