In order to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 29) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, many of the press representatives came to Azerbaijan, who are interested in the history, literature and cultural heritage of our country.
A writer-journalist from Sri Lanka Purnima Verasekara, being in our country, also visited the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi for this purpose. She is a graduate of the prestigious Stanford University, USA. Purnima Verasekara is an experienced COP 29 accredited media representative with international experience in disseminating information at major events.
The writer-journalist got acquainted with the exposition reflecting the rich heritage of prominent poets and writers of Azerbaijan at the presentation of Aymen Hasanova, a scientific worker of the museum. In addition to the main points in the exposition where Azerbaijani literature is exhibited, various fields of culture and art, mainly examples of folk creativity, attracted the journalist’s attention.
In the end, she shared her good impressions in the “Book of Opinions and Impressions” of the Museum. The guest said that the information about the outstanding poets of classical and modern Azerbaijani literature exhibited in the exposition of the Nizami Museum is important. She noted that she was more interested in the works of Nizami Ganjavi and Afzaladdin Khagani Shirvani. The journalist expressed her admiration and enjoyment of the museum.
