Every year on May 18 is celebrated as the International Museum Day in the world. This remarkable day established in 1977 by the initiative of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) is also widely celebrated in Azerbaijan, and a series of events are being held within the scope of the day.

The International Day of Museums will be on May 18 at the Museum of National Azerbaijan Literature of ANAS. The goal is to give people free access to exhibits and expositions presented by the museum.

During the day visitors will be informed about the history of the museum reflecting rich cultural heritage and ancient history of Azerbaijan, which will be closely acquainted with ancient and medieval cultural samples, paintings and sculptures.

The museum will be open from 11:00 to 17:00.
