An event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of prominent poet Mikayil Mushfig has been held at the Aran regional branch of the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after N.Ganjavi together with Kurdamir region Centralized Library System (CLS).

Head of the Kurdamir CLS Irada Mahmudova spoke on the life and activity of the prominent representative of the 20th century Azerbaijani literature, the victim of repression, Mikayil Mushfig.

Then Head of the Children's Department of the Central Library Khatira Soltanova emphasized the importance of the Decree by President Ilham Aliyev “On celebration of Mikayil Mushfig’s 100th anniversary” and noted that a series of events dedicated to the great poet were held everywhere in our country.

Later, the director of the Aran regional branch of the National Azerbaijan Literature Museum, PhD in philology Yagut Bahadurgizi spoke about the characteristic features of the lyrical poetry of our outstanding poetry master.

It was noted that Mushfig's poems, whose name was written in golden letters on the history of Azerbaijani poetry, is an aging generation. Mushfig's "Yene o bag olaydi", "Oxu, Tar" and some other poems are among the pearls of poetry treasures.
