On November 22, 2016, the next meeting of scientific ventures of ANAS Directors’ Board was held at the High Technologies Park. 

November 22, 2016 in the Experiment-Industry Plant of ANAS of ANAS was held a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the scientific institutions of the Academy.

First President of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh informed about the issues on the agenda and noted that the meeting was devoted to discussion of issues concerning the execution of the Order of the President of the country Ilham Aliyev "On creation of the Park of High Technologies of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)" on November 8, 2016 .

Academician Akif Alizadeh spoke about the opportunities created by the OEM for the present and future development of the activity of ANAS. He stressed that the implementation of tasks arising from the order and the active participation of every scientist in this process directly serve the development of Russian science. He noted that the establishment of industrial park will give impetus to research in priority research areas in ANAS, create opportunities to achieve more significant results in this area.

Then the head of the Administrative Office of ANAS, PhD in Political Science Fatali Abdullayev in his speech spoke about the history of creation and activity of Experiment-Industry Plant (ESP). He noted that the Plant began operating in 1974. Currently, concrete steps for the withdrawal of products produced here to the world markets. Contracts are signed with several local and foreign companies and organizations.

Abdullayev noted that as a result of providing the SCR on the initiative of the Academy of more modern technological equipment and raw materials, along with an increase in variety of products in the production, now also increases the diversity and quality of products.

Then head of the Innovation Department of the Presidium of ANAS, PhD in Agricultural sciences Vugar Babayev made a presentation on the theme "Innovation and commercialization activities in the science of ANAS". It hailed the creation of the Park of High Technologies of ANAS in as an important event for the country's science and activities of the Academy.

Speaking about the basic principles of the ecosystem of industrial park, he noted that this includes the process of business incubation, administrative support and facilities, financial services, grants, loans, legal services, and others. He noted that, as provided in the Order for a place reserved for the Park in the territory of Experiment-Industry Plant.

Later on, head of Copyrights and Patent Department Sadikh Nabiyev made speech on state-of-the-art condition and problems in the sphere of patents in ANAS and stated that, currently, 380 patents are on a force in Academy, that majority of them belong to the Division of Chemical Sciences.

Each year, about 30-40 patents are obtained in ANAS and necessary measures are taken to give licenses and accelerate their application to the manufacturing, he added.

Director of ESP Vasif Abbasov briefed about key activity directions of the Plant and noted that, today, manufacturing facilities and modern laboratory, allowing for production of lubricants in limited quantities meet with Europe and world-class standards - pilot complex has been created in the Plant. Product samples are featured in the exhibition pavilions organized by various foundations and organizations in the country in recent years.

Then, employees of ESP submitted several modern technological equipment samples and informed on the application and usage rules.

The Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, Academician-Secretary of ANAS Academician Rasim Alguliyev, Academician-Secretary of ANAS Division of Biological and Medical Scienes, Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov, Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes Academician Vagif Abbasov and others reported at the event on issues regarding commissioning of the High-Tech Park of ANAS and give suggestions.
