Next assembly of Academic Council on Problems of Philology chaired by Academician Rafael Huseynov, functioning under Republican Council for Research Organization and Coordination, was held.

Assembly run by broad exchange of opinions discussed 33 theses topics, including 5 Doctors of Sciences, and 28 PhDs. 9 of them did not confimed because of certain shortcomings, while 24 issues were confirmed by the appropriate changes.

Relevance of the following topics such as, “A historical antroponimics of Azerbaijani language”, "XVII-XVIII centuries, Azerbaijani-Turkish literary ties (based on manuscript sources)", "Formation of Azerbaijan scientific fantastics, growth trends and relationships with world literature", "Emerging of new trends in modern german language at the phonetic-lexical level", “Turkish emigrant literature in the USA”, "Semantic, syntactic, and prosodic features of deverbatives (based on the English language)", “The linguistic expression means of “time” concept in Nizami Ganjavi’s "Khamsa", "Western literature issues in Fiyuzat journal”, “The fitonim-containing phraseologic compounds in modern French language","The early XX century Azerbaijan poetry in the English literature” as well as bidders’ competence on explored issues attracted attention.

Chief Chairman of the Council Dr. Philology Asgar Rasulov, Professors Aida Gasimova, Atamooghlan Hasanov, Fakhraddin Veyselli, Gorkhmaz Guliyev, Gulu Maharramli, Doctors of Philology Azada Musayeva, Bilal Ismayilov, Seyfaddin Rzasoy, Shafag Alibeyli and others actively participated at the discussions, shared opinions on various issues, proposed suggestions.
