On February 3, by the organization of ANAS Scientists’ House of Central Scietific Library was held a meeting with the State Advisor of the Azerbaijan Republic on the ethnic, multiculturalism and religious issues, Doctor of philological sciences, writer-publicist, Academician Kamal Abdullayev.

The meeting was organized an exhibition of books Academician Kamal Abdullayev. Along with the books, the author of which is a scientist, the exhibition also showcased the monograph dedicated to him and the materials of the periodical press.

Opening the event, the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli stressed the importance of the meeting, spoke about the scientific activities and a rich literary creativity Kamal Abdullayev. Noting the great interest in the work of the writer, Academician Isa Habibbeyli added that his works have been translated into Russian, French, English, Turkish, Georgian, Portuguese, Japanese and other languages.

Then Academician Kamal Abdullayev spoke about the main directions of his scientific and literary activities, related research saga "Kitabi Dede Gorgud", researches in the field of theoretical issues of national linguistics and literary works written by him in various genres.

Noting that as a result of targeted actions multiculturalism today raised to the level of state policy in the country, Academician Kamal Abdullayev added that even in the period of national leader Heydar Aliyev held extensive measures aimed at protecting the language of the peoples living in Azerbaijan, development of their cultures. He added that President Ilham Aliyev, who took as the basis of its political activity of the national leader line continues this tradition and introduce the world to the values of multiculturalism Azerbaijan. At the same time, to the fore, he deduces the conditions due to which Azerbaijan will be able to effectively use the results of multicultural processes occurring in the world.

Kamal Abdullayev spoke about the activities aimed at the promotion and propaganda of Azerbaijani multiculturalism, which is carried out as the Baku international center of multiculturalism and ANAS, universities, various ministries and organizations.

Then the director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov, who spoke about the philosophical outlook of Kamal Abdullayev and humanistic ideas in his work, the exceptional merits of the scientist in the development of the philosophy of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan.

The event was also made by an employee of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami of ANAS, writer and critic Elnara Garagozova, director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, corresponding member of ANAS Mohsun Naghisoylu and others who shared their thoughts about the writer Kamal Abdullayev.

At the meeting, the scientist responded numerous questions from the audience.
