National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature after Nizami Ganjavi hosted for a literary-musical event “Baku in poetry and music” devoted to the 94th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev by joint organization of AYTAM” Public Association for Cultural Education of Children.

In advance, attendees got acquainted with the exhibition reflecting life and activity of national leader.

Director of the museum Academician Rafael Huseynov spoke of multi-faceted and rich performance of national leader Heydar Aliyev, specially highlighted his merits in development of science, literature, culture and art of Azerbaijan.

Great leader’s return to the power has made a turnover in the social-economic, scientific-cultural life of the country, in international ties, also has launched a process of building an independent state relevant to international norm and principles. In 1994, was prevented a revolution, which was a great treat for statehood of Azerbaijan, state independency was protected and our country has rescued from being ruined, was noted.

Returning to the power for the second time at people’s request national leader hardly worked for recognizing Azerbaijan to the whole world and signed important projects.

National leader Heydar Aliyev, who managed Azerbaijan since 1969, also diligently tried to recognize Azerbaijani among the former Soviet republics. He had historical merits in opening of huge industrial enterprises, including scientific, educational and cultural institutions.

Academic R. Huseynov stated that, the prominent state figure always preferred education of the youth and spared his best to grow them as professionals. By his initiative hundreds of young were sent to the prestigious educational schools of the former USSR.

National leader Heydar Aliyev ws fond of Baku so, he always focused on flourish, modernization of the capital, protection of ancient, historical and architectural monuments, meanwhile construction of modern buildings.

Azerbaijani composers’ repertoire is full of songs devoted to Baku, noted R. Huseynov.

At the event, students of Musical College after Asef Zeynalli and schoolchildren from Baku city performed poems and sang songs.
