At the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS, were held discussions on the holding of the I Congress of Young Scientists of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the event, Academician-Secretary of ANAS, Academician Rasim Alguliyev spoke about the youth policy in the country: "One of the important directions of the policy implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev is the state youth policy. Ensuring the physical and moral health of young people, creating the necessary conditions for their intellectual development, directing their activities to national interests is one of the main factors of state policy". Speaking about the work being carried out at ANAS for the comprehensive development of intellectual youth, Academician Rasim Alguliyev noted the implementation at the Academy of comprehensive measures in the direction of training young scientists in foreign scientific centers, training them as highly qualified personnel, as well as eliminating their social problems.

In order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks noted at the meeting of the Presidium, it was decided to hold the First Congress of Young Scientists of Azerbaijan on December 15 this year with the joint organizational support of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, a resolution was adopted to determine the person responsible for organizing the congress and the Working Group, as well as to submit to the Organizing Committee opinions and proposals formed on the basis of discussions at the meetings of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS and the corresponding organizations of scientific research institutions.
