The 8th meeting of the Scientific Council on Philological Problems of the Scientific Research Coordination Council of the Republic was held under the chairmanship of academician Rafael Huseynov.

At the next meeting were discussed 1 doctoral preparation and PhDs, and recommendations were given to dissertators and doctors for their future more efficient work.

The topic offered by Doctor of the Department of Literature and World Literature of Baku Slavic University Durdana Tahirova, which applied for a doctoral program, was not considered to be inaccurate.

Dissertant of ANAS Institute of Linguistics Elnura Abbasova’s "Diachronic aspects of the state of Azerbaijan and Arabic languages", Dissertant of Ganja State University Safa Abadova’s "Problems of functional syntax of contemporary Azerbaijani literary language", and doctorate of Maya Akhundova’s “Aziz Nesin and 60-80 years of Azerbaijani satirical prose (based on Seyfettin Daghli and Anar's creativity)” and other subjects were approved without any changes.

It should be noted that some of the plaintiffs were properly formed at previous sessions, and they were recommended to prepare a plan for the new season and attend the November session.

It was proposed to invite the leadership of the Journalism Faculty of BSU for the next sessions. This initiative is due to the need of creating a turning point in providing the bidders from that faculty with more relevant, topical and serious scientific issues.

Thus, 24 out of 34 topics discussed at the meeting were approved, with 10 amendments being approved.

At the same time, professors Atamoglan Hasanov, Azade Musayeva, Asker Rasulov, Fakhraddin Veyselli, Imamverdi Hamidov, Gazanfar Kazimov, Gorkmaz Guliyev, Mehdi Kazimov, Nadir Mammadli, Pasha Kerimov, Seyfaddin Rzasoy and Shafag Alibeyli delivered speeches at the meeting.
