On June 14 at the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature after Nizami Ganjavi ANAS held a scientific session on the Day of National Salvation.

First, the participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition reflecting the multifaceted life and activity of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov delivered a report on "Return, preserving our independence", in which he told about the historical merits of the national leader in strengthening the statehood of Azerbaijan and preserving our independence. It was noted that, the great leader played an exceptional role in the history of our statehood and the restoration and preservation of our country's independence.

Academician R.Huseynov spoke about the adoption of significant steps in the socio-political, economic, scientific and cultural life of the country after the return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power in 1993, the formation of the Armed Forces able to protect the national interests of the state and the successes achieved in other areas. Today, twenty-five years have passed since the day of the national liberation and restoration of the independence of Azerbaijan. The creator of this story is world famous politician, an outstanding statesman, great leader Heydar Aliyev, who relied on the support of his people.

The scientist noted that, in 1993 our independence, received in 1918, faced a great threat, and the country became an arena for civil war. Independence could be lost, as in the early twentieth century. Thanks to the wise policy and determination of the national leader, who returned to power on the insistence of our people, the country was saved from the chaos, civil war, the republic's economy was revived and independence was strengthened. Despite the obstacles, social and political stability in the country was restored in a short time, a model of modern state construction was created. Today, the successful policy pursued by the national leader Heydar Aliyev in all spheres continues with President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, were presented the reports by Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Museum, Professor Khatira Bashirli on "Symbol of National Unity, Integrity and Solidarity of Azerbaijan: June 15 - Salvation Day", Professor Shafag Alibayli on "Liberation, past the test of time".
