"A strategy for the development of Azerbaijani science in the new stage is being developed".

These opinions were voiced at the meeting of the Presidium of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh on July 17. The National Strategy for the Development of Science in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2015 has come to an end and a report has been made to the country's leadership regarding the measures taken within the framework of the strategy, the academician said.

The President of ANAS spoke about the strategic plan for 2020-2025, which defines the new ways of development of science, the program of work to be reflected in the document to ensure sustainable development of science. The strategic plan will be developed on the basis of joint proposals of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, higher educational institutions, as well as scientific departments, scientific institutions and organizations of ANAS. The head of state will approve the draft final document, president of ANAS said.
