People who come unstuck with us Mar 05, 2020 | 17:36 / Interviews, speeches

Regardless of type his writing, Ibrahim Nabioghlu, who always joiced our hearts and minds, delivered shocked news to me recently.

Hidayat Zeynalov, one of the most selective figures of the Azerbaijani press, passed away on the crazy March day of Baku, leaving us forever ...

Our fathers said, "March has come out, trouble has come." This time everything has changed so, March came with troubles ...

I got very upset…too! ..

And I regreted that I was late and missed another opportunity of my life.

A few months ago I called to Hidayat muallim.

I said that want to meet him.

He was very happy to my call, "our house is your house," he said.

(On that day, we had lunch with another patriarch of our press, Ali Ildırımoghlu. We had a lot of conversations, including remembered Hidayat muallim. I stated that hadn't seen him before so, want to get in touch. However, he informed me that he had vision problems and if he ignored meeting did not be offensive.)

I had foreign trips and then interfered with the elections.

I am just relaxed, and these days, wanted to pick up Hidayat muallim’s phone number and visit him.

Hidayat muallim is a beloved person to me for nearly 50 years.

I was a schoolboy, wrote articles for the district newspaper from time to time and was a freelance correspondent for “Ireli” in Kurdamir.

It might seem a simple thing in nowadays. For those ages, it was not a simple matter for a schoolboy to carry a red card in his pocket, confirming that he was a reporter for a district newspaper.

I started to write articles for central newspapers and journals.

There were also occasional editions, but usually a letter from the central press came with a standard response that was not published because it did not meet our editorial requirements.
