A two-part author's film "Temple of Word" shot on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, was displayed on the "Culture" channel of "AzTV".

The first part of the film, "Nizami's greetings", written, and directed by the director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov, tells about the history of the Nizami Museum, its development, reconstruction and exhibits presented here.

Academician R.Huseynov said that the museum was built before the 800th anniversary of the great poet Nizami Ganjavi in 1941, in the early 1940s, but due to the involvement of the USSR in the Second World War, which included Azerbaijan it opened to the public only on May 14, 1945, a few days after the victory over fascism.

The film tells about the exhibits displayed in the halls of the museum, the shirt of Panah Khan, who lived in the 18th century, the pen of Omar Faig Nemanzadeh, the table and chairs belonging to Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh, and the lamps used by Azerbaijani intelectuals, which used during creativity.

Huseynov said that the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev had great sympathy for the Nizami Museum and paid special attention to it. The museum was overhauled and rebuilt on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, he stated.
