Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) has announced its programme to celebrate the International Day for Monuments and Sites
The event will be commemorated under the theme “United for Art and Heritage”, through a project that includes several international symposiums and training courses over a whole month to highlight the characteristics of the rich, diversified and authentic tangible and intangible cultural heritage in countries of the Islamic world.
ICESCO noted in a statement today that the celebration offers necessary support for damaged heritage sites in some member states, and organise several programmes and activities.
The celebrations which will be held between April 18 and May 18 amid exceptional health circumstances, led ICESCO to adopt alternative programmes instead of in-person attendance.
