5th meeting of the Academic Council for Philological Problems of the Republic Council for Research Coordination, chaired by director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature Academic Rafael Huseynov, was held.

The meeting has discussed 41 theses topics covering 6 doctoral and 35 PhD training programs.

Part-time doctoral student of the museum Shahla Abdullayeva's thesis topic "Role of plot “Yusif and Zuleikha” in the convergence and enrichment of Central Asian literatures”, a doctoral student of Azerbaijan University of Languages Department of General Linguistics Samira Adıshova’s " Experimental study of live speech (based on materials in English and German languages)", a doctoral student of Azerbaijan University of Languages Department of English Stylistics Sayana Baghirov’s "Bilingvism and its cognitive bases," part-time doctoral student of the museum Konul Nahmatova “Diversity of genres in Seyid Hussein’s literary heritage and poetics" have been approved by taking account scientific importance of the topics, completeness of submitted plans and level of preparation of the applicants.

The following thesis topics: "Demonism problem in the Eastern and Western literature", “Name-producing and its role in enriching the terminological layer”, "Heroic codes in the sagas of Beowulf and The Book of Dede –Gorgud”, " The formation and development problems of Azerbaijan emigration poetry ", " A transformation motive in Azerbaijani folklore ", "The artistic reflection of multiculturalism in literature”, “The lexical-semantic analysis of medical terms in Azerbaijani and English”, etc. were widely discussed at the meeting as well.

Thus, 26 thesis topics have been approved by renaming 9 of them.

In addition to Academic Rafael Huseynov, Doctors of Philological Sciences, and Professors – Atamoghlan Hasanov, Aida Gasimova, Azada Musayeva, Badirkhan Ahmadov, Bilal Ismayilov, Jalil Naghiyev, Gazanfar Kazimov, Gorkhmaz Guliyev, Gulu Maharrramli, Nadir Mammadli, Shafag Alibeyli, Seyfeddin Rzasoy, and Shirindil Alishanov shared their opinions in the discussions.
