ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature held a scientific session on “He loved Azerbaijan” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Australian English writer and publicist James Aldridge on December 26.

Director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov told about the role of the writer's creativity, reflecting the cultural and political realities of Azerbaijan. He recalled that, in 2003 the Museum of Literature held the 85th anniversary of the writer.

In his speech, academician noted that, over the centuries, hundreds of Western travelers conveyed to the world community the cultural, ethnographic, geographical values of Azerbaijan. English writer James Aldridge was the Australian English writer and publicist of of the twentieth century. During World War II, James Aldridge worked as a war correspondent in the Middle and Middle East. His life path led him to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan theme has a significant place in the works of writer. The interest to our country led him to create of the famous novel "Diplomat".

At the event were delivered the reports on the personality of James Aldridge and his work.
