On April 6, main building of ANAS hosted the event on “Triumph of Azerbaijan soldier: believe and support” with the purpose to underpin the speech of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of Security Council under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Opening the meeting Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbaylispoke about armed provocation perpetrated by Armenia against Azerbaijan from 1 April night to 2. Speaking about achievements of the Azerbaijan army, he regarded the liberation of several strategic positions by bravery of soldiers as a great victory.

Academician challenged scientific public to underpin national army, and our people to unite closely around the President, and to show solidarity. He expressed confidence that the occupied territories will be liberated soon.

Later, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences of ANAS Academician Ahliman Amiraslanov stated that, army building in Azerbaijan has been organized at high level, thus achievements of the last few days are practical indication of this fact.  

Director of the Institute of History corresponding member of ANAS Yagub Mahmudov made speech on historical merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev for Azerbaijan people, and reforms implemented in the army building as well. He brought to mind vital achievements in all spheres as a result of fruitful domestic and foreign policy of President Ilham Aliyev as a sequel of performance by national leader Heydar Aliyev. Scientist stressed out the successes of army as great stimuli for people: "After this victory, parents who were handed Azerbaijan flags, wrapped over coffin of their children, could say that “Everything for the homeland!”".

Y. Mahmudov specially noted the support of brother country –Turkey in troubles of Azerbaijan.

Director of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes Academician Vagif Abbasovtold about his visit to the frontline and noted that, the events taking place there and resolute struggle of Azerbaijan army is proud.

In the event, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS corresponding member Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, chief department of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics Prof. Hikmat Mahmudov, leading researcher of theInstitute of Physics PhD in Physics Yusif Aliyev, researcher of Central Scientific Library Gunay Allahverdiyeva and others made speeches and notified that, despite the tension and incidents on the frontline, official Baku always is for to settle Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by peaceful means within the framework of international legal norms.

All successes of national army is a historical achievement of Armed Forces, which regularly developed and technically strengthened under management of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijan people, was noted.

In closing, chairman of ANAS Council of Young Scientists and Specialists PhD in Physics Famin Salmanov sounded the appeal on behalf of ANAS staff to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
