ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature held scientific seminar dedicated to notable turkologist and thinker Amin Abid Gultekin.

Researcher of the Department of Researching and presenting the ancient and medieval ages of Azerbaijan literature, PhD in Philology Nazmiyye Yigitoglu informed about the political-literary period until shooting of two brothers in 1938.

Struggling for ideology “Turkicizing, islamicizing and modernizing”, two brothers – Aliabbas Muznib and Amin Abid had great merits in Azerbaijan publicisizm, literature study and enlightenment. Differing from other scientists of his period, Amin Abid was learning Azerbaijan literature not only in a regional frame, but also within language and literature of the Turkic world.

Seminar continued by questions and speeches of folklorist scientist, studier of Amin Abid heritage Ali Shamil, museum associates – Professor Khatira Bashirli, PhD in Philology Malahat Kalantarli, researchers – Tutu Mammadova, Gulnar Jafarzadeh, Torekhanum Huseynova and others.
