On November 24 at 11:00 ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature after Nizami Ganjavi hosted Republican scientific conference on "Nizami and world literature" devoted to the 875th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.

Before the event, at the lobby of the museum the guests got acquainted with the exhibition of books and paintings of the poet.

On November 24 at 11:00 ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature after Nizami Ganjavi hosted Republican scientific conference on "Nizami and world literature"devoted to the 875th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.

Before the event, at the lobby of the museum the guests got acquainted with the exhibition of books and paintings of the poet.

Opening the anniversary event, the museum's Director, Academician Rafael Huseynov spoke about the rich life and works of the outstanding poet, location and position of Nizami Ganjavi in the world literature.

Through his works of art of Azerbaijan was made famous around the world. It was noted that, pen of the great Nizami Ganjavi belong to the golden page of East, including Azerbaijan Renaissance.

Gave the world the treasure of artistic expression tatiled "Khamsa", he re-created a completely new picture of national and universal values.

Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli analyzing activity of Nizami in detail told about the invaluable contribution of the great master of words in common human values, his activity as a thinker and philosopher.The scientist noted that, Nizami Ganjavi has an important place in the history of social thought in Azerbaijan, his works have a special significance for the study of culture. In his speech, he also stressed the importance of an integrated approach to the creation of the poet.

Speaking at the plenary session of the event, Professor Nushaba Arasli, Imamverdi Hamidov, Yusifli Khalil, PhD in Philology Manzara Mammadova, Esmethanim Mammadova and Elena Teerin stressed that, the masterpieces of the great poet will always live in the world literature.

The conference continued its work in plenary sessions, in which were delivered reports on "Poetic logic and justification of art in poems Nizami", "Study of Nizami Ganjavi literary heritage in Egypt," etc.
