ANAS Division of Humanities Sciences held a general meeting on February 17. Opened the event, Academician-Secretary of the Department, Academician Teymur Karimli introduced the scientific and organizational and current issues on the agenda.

First results were considered for admission to doctoral and dissertanturu research institutions of AGN training program for PhDs and doctors for the 2016-2017 academician year. It was noted that, the dissertation topic should be selected taking into account the basic requirements and tasks of the modern science, it should be aimed at reshenievazhnyh socio-economic problems and the preservation of cultural and spiritual values. Doctoral students and PhDs were encouraged to continue to give priority to topics that will contribute to the further development of relevant scientific fields.

After discussion, a resolution was passed approving the acceptance of the results and the presentation of the ANAS Presidium.

The next decision of the Department amended the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Architecture and Arts. The Academic Council was included in the approved posts of heads of departments of the Institute members of ANAS Zemfira Safarova and Rena Mammadova, Doctor of Arts Rena Abdullayeva, PhD in Architecture Sabir Orujov, Rahib Aliyev, PhD on Art Vidadi Gafarov.

Then the current issues were discussed at the event. After discussing the projects that will be presented to the competition "Integration of science and education," announced by the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appropriate action was taken.

The meeting reviewed progress report of AGN "Status and prospects of studies conducted in scientific institutions of ANAS Devision of Humanitarian Sciences", which will be submitted to the Presidency. Addressing a speech academician-secretary of the department, academician Teymur Karimli noted that research work, are conducted in scientific institutions and aimed at strengthening the state independence of Azerbaijan and political stability in the country, active integration of the republic in the international space, saving material and spiritual values.

Academician Teymur Karimli told about the state of e-science in the department, training of scientific personnel, fundraising activities, the publication of articles in journals department staff with the international index, the international communication agencies, integration of science and education and other issues.

After listening to the report of the discussions took place, those present shared their thoughts on several issues. It was decided to accept a satisfactory report and submit it to the Presidency.
