On April 8, Kurdamir region Heydar Aliyev Center hosted the event devoted to memory of senior lieutenant Abubakr Ismayilov, who martyred heroically at the April battles, and brave prospector Tural Gurbanov, co-organized by Aran Regional Department of ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature and Kurdamir region Executive Power.

During the event, “Answer, Mr. Lieutenant” book published by “Chashioghlu” publisher, was presented.

The book deals with short but meanwhile honorable lifetime and human qualities of senior lieutenant, Mi-24 military helicopter crew member Abubakr Ismayilov, who martyred on April 2, 2016 during prevention of Armenian armed forces’ provocation against our state.

Director of the museum, MP of Milli Majlis Academician Rafael Huseynov spoke of the modern stage of Nagorno Karabakh war, invasive policy of Armenia and April battles, glorious heroic page of our people.

Head of Kurdamir region Executive Power Jeyhun Jafarov, reviewer of the book “Answer, Mr. Lieutenant” Lieutenant-Colonel in reserve Gabil Nasibov, senior lieutenant Bahman Heybetov and others made speech on virtues of the book and stressed the necessity to promote it in the secondary schools.

Poems of patriotism were performed by pupils.

In closing, A.Ismayilov’s mother –Rena Ismayilova, martyr T.Gurbanov’s father – Gurshad Gurbanov reported at the event and stated to be proud of their children.

Exhibition and slide reflecting A.Ismayilov’s life was displayed at the event.
