On October 19 was held famous composer, “Honored Art Worker”, Chairman of the Union of Composers, People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, People's Artist of UNESCO, "Peace Artist", correspondent member of ANAS Firangiz Alizadeh’ 70th anniversary at the Central Scientific Library titled "Creative peaks".

Members of Milli Majlis, well-known figures of science and culture, and representatives of the public participated at the event, which was organized jointly by ANAS Scientists’ House, Department of Humanitarian and Social Sciences.

Vice President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli, congratulated the jubilee, spoke about the artistic work of the artist and his valuable contribution to the Azerbaijani culture.

The vice-president of ANAS noted that Firangiz Alizadeh, who has been in search of creativity throughout her life, is also loyal to her tradition. She loves Azerbaijan and his native country with great love and serves for it honestly. The artist has tested his talent in various genres of music and has created operas, ballet, instrumental, vocal, symphonic, choral and camera works. We believe that her works will sound at the world's most famous concert halls.

Mahmudov said that F.Alizade, who was awarded various titles, is one of the composers who introduced the Azerbaijani music to the world. Her works adorn the repertoire of many performers.
