On December 26 was held a meeting dedicated to the 120th jubilee of founder of professional vocal school of Azerbaijan, prominent singer, public figure of the USSR, USSR State Prize laureate Bulbul (Murtuza Mashadi Rza oglu Mammadov) at the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi.

Director of the museum, acad. Rafael Huseynov said that the scientific session was organized in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev's decree dated 11 May 2017 "On holding the 120th anniversary of Bulbul".

Emphasizing the importance of the Bulbul school in the national-cultural progress of the present day, with the colorful images created by immortal music and vocabulary, academician R.Huseynov underlined the necessity of writing valuable works of outstanding artists. He noted that Bulbul, who is a great connoisseur of Azerbaijani folklore and played a great role in bringing some folklore examples to our national music.

The director of Bulbul Memorial Museum Fargana Jabbarova's report on the "Bulbul's life and creativity" was listened at the scientific session. F.Jabbarova spoke about Bulbul's unprecedented services in the development, research and promotion of our national music culture and underlined that the memory of the artist would always be respected and respected by our people.

Within the framework of the event, the exhibition reflecting the history and literary environment of Garabagh was demonstrated. A documentary film about the life of Bulbul was screened and tape recordings were performed by a prominent artist.
