In February 2019,  a famous literary critic, academician of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences, Honored Scientist, doctor of philological sciences, professor Hamid Mahammadtaghi oglu Arasli is 110.

Hamid Arasli a prominent specialist with a special position in the field of Azerbaijani literature in the ancient and medieval times, and, a prominent scholar, who made valuable contributions to the development of literary criticism in the republic. Systematization of the history of Azerbaijani literature and the creation of a full picture are among his important scientific achievements. Hamid Arasli always kept his research on the folklore, made a great contribution to the implementation of various publications of the "Kitabi Dada Gorgud" monument, and studied the great heritage of Nizami, Nasimi and Fuzuli.

Taking into account paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I take the decision to ensure the celebration of the 110th anniversary of the birth of academician Hamid Arasli, taking into consideration his admirable service in the study of literature, promotion and preparation of highly qualified cadres.

1. The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan together with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to develop and implement an action plan dedicated to the 110th anniversary of academician Hamid Arasli.

2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall resolve issues arising from this Order.
