Aran regional branch of the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after N.Ganjavi jointly with the Central Library of Kurdamir held an event dedicated to the 100th jubilee of prominent Azerbaijani literature specialist, talented poet, well-known literary scholar, public figure and educator, People's writer Ismayil Shikhli.

The director of the Aran regional branch of the museum, PhD in philology Yagut Bahadurqizi talked about the rich heritage of Ismayil Shikhli, the gallery of images, the artistic-aesthetic features of his works. He noted that the outstanding scientist is one of the masterpieces who opened new era in literature.

Then, Flora Aliyeva, a teacher of language and literature at the Kurdamir district secondary school No 6, said that Ismayil Shikhli’s heritage enriche folklore treasure, and it is noticed in his works.

The poet Yadigar Tavakkul, director of the Kurdamir Centrali Library System Irada Mahmudova spoke on the literary and artistic heritage of the writer and said that his activity as a vivid example of devotion to the Azerbaijani ideology and respect for traditional values.

Later, employees of the Central Library of the Kurdamir district Mahina Shiraliyeva and Maryam Aliyeva performed the favorite works of the writer.

At the end fragments from the same film shot on Ismayil Shikhli's novel "Deli Kur" were shown.
