On October 29, Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev hosted an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of outstanding musician, renowned educator, People's Artist of the Republic Hajibaba Huseynov.

The event was held within the framework of the action plan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Hajibaba Huseynov, by the relevant decree of President Ilham Aliyev.

At the event, which was attended by state and government officials, as well as prominent figures of culture and art of the republic, the video of the artist was shown.

Chairman of the committee of Culture of the Milli Majlis, director of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature academician Rafael Huseynov spoke about the merits of the outstanding singer in the life and music culture.

Noting the singer's art world is unique, R. Huseynov highlighted his work on improving the school of mugham. He noted that the art of the singer, his literary creativity, compositions, and classifications will live as much as we have mugam art.

Later, People's Artist, composer Tofik Bakikhanov, People's Artist, singer Arif Babayev, MP, academician Ziyad Samadzadeh spoke about the work of the unforgettable artist and his passion for art.

It was noted that Hajibaba Huseynov, due to his powerful guard, mastered the music and mugams that he heard and began to write crags in accordance with the laws of the music. He was the first performer of "Rast" mugam "Ushshak" and "Huseyni". For his services in the field of national music culture, the artist was awarded the title "Honored Artist" in 1989 and "People's Artist" in 1990.

The event continued with a concert program of well-known mugham singers.
