Every year, May 18 is celebrated around the world as International Museum Day. Founded by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between peoples, the festival is held annually under a different slogan. The sloganof this year's International Museum Day is "Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion".

Taking into account the current situation with the coronavirus threat, museums operating in our country will celebrate the International Museum Day this year with a series of online presentations and events.

Thus, on the International Museum Day, a "virtual open door" will be organized for the museum to ensure the interest of people wishing to visit the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS. The guides will inform the virtual visitors about the halls of the museum, valuable exhibits - manuscripts, archeological samples, miniatures, carpets, models of architectural monuments, as well as the life and work of prominent literary figures of our country. The virtual tour will be presented in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, Persian and Arabic.
