On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, as well as the International Museum Day, the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists (CYSS) has held a video conference on topic “The Museum as a Promoter of Our Culture and Literature”.

The online event was attended by the Secretary of CYSS of ANAS, PhD in Biology Ulduza Mehraliyeva, Head of the Department of Public Relations, Press and Information of the Museum, PhD in Philology Nazmiya Yigitoglu, Chairman of the CYSS Museum Dilber Huseynova and other members of the Council.

At the video conference, the head of the Museum Education Department, Kamala Nurieva, delivered a lecture entitled “The Role of Museums in the Teaching and Promotion of Literature,” a junior researcher, Deputy Chairperson of the CYSS Gulsaba Hasanova presented a lecture on “The Nizami Museum is a Treasury of Wealth that Preserves the Cultural Heritage,” PhD student Fatima Suleymanova on topic “International Museum Day in the virtual exposition of the Nizami Museum”.

The speeches talked about the history of creation and goals of the International Museum Day, the forms of this day in Azerbaijan, the virtual broadcast of the Nizami Museum exposition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the history of the museum, the architectural features of the institution’s building, funds and departments. The role of museums in the educational process and their importance in the study of literature was also emphasized.
