Spouse of vice-president of Tanzania visited Nizami Museum + Photo Nov 10, 2024 | 07:39 / COP 29

Vice-president of the United Republic of Tanzania Philip Isdor Mpango with his spouse arrived to Azerbaijan to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. On november 10 the spouse of the vice-president Dionisia Monimpaye Mpango with the members of delegation visited the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi. After greeting the members of delegation from Tanzania, the director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician Rafael Huseynov has had a sincere conversation with Dionisia Mpango. 

He briefly informed her about the history of Nizami Museum and noted that in spite of the exhibition of the museum is dedicated to the history of literature the entire cultural past of Azerbaijan is presented here. 

 PhD in culturology, Naila Aliyeva, accompanied honourable guests in the exhibition. During the tour D. Mpango was especially impressed by the hall dedicated to the victims of political repressions in Azerbaijan, she mentioned the parallels in the history of two nations. She also said that it is important to show such sensitive pages of the nation’s history in the exhibition, so it can play the role of visual book of history and makes people from different nations share the same emotions. 

Dionisia Mpango shared her impressions in the “Testimonial book”of the museum. At the end of the meeting she thanked the director of the museum for the hospitality and preservation of the country's literary and cultural heritage and Rafael Huseynov presented his books to D.Mpango .
