The National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi is the important centre of study and propaganda of Azerbaijani literature and culture. Each day a number of tourists, all around the world visits this place. Among the visitors, participating to COP-29 events was Japanese screenwriter Kazuhisa Tobe and an expert on carbon dioxide neutralization Akira Yanagihara.
Tomiris Babanli, the head of the “Exposition” department, accompanied visitors who were very interested in literature, culture and history of Azerbaijan. On learning that three poems from “Khamsa” by Nizami Gamjavi were translated to Japanese by Professor Emiko Akado visitors expressed intention to read the books.
Kazuhisa Tobe mentioned that as a screenwriter of Japanese theater and he was especially impressed by the creative activity of Uzeyir Hajibeyli who createdc the first opera in the East and made a great contribution to world history of theatre.
On learning about folklore literature, ceremonial songs, square performances, Novruz ceremonial games, the writer found parallels between Azerbaijani and Japanese literatures. The visitors wrote about their impressions in testimonial book of the museum.
