Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in the events of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) held in Baku. Among them, Jihad Jafar, a project engineer, and Khulud Al-Akbari, an architect from the Arab Office for Youth and Environmental Protection, visited the Nizami Ganjavi National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature.

The guests visiting Baku for the first time were introduced to the exhibition at the Nizami Museum by Natavan Baghirova. Visitors listening to the exhibition, which reflects Azerbaijani literature from ancient times to the present, showed interest in information about the Arab Caliphate, Khatib Tabrizi, Abu al-Ala al-Ma'arri, and the works of Ismail ibn Yasar. They greatly admired the stunning carpet samples from the Nizami Museum, including the 20th-century Tabriz carpet on the theme of the "Four Seasons", the 19th-century "Khosrov and Shirin", carpets woven in Baku between 1939-1941 based on Nizami Ganjavi's "Khamsa", and others.

In the museum's book of reviews and impressions, they noted that they became acquainted with Azerbaijan before and after Islam, as well as benefiting from important and significant information related to Islamic civilization. Expressing their satisfaction with their close familiarity with our country’s rich history and literature, the guests extended their thanks to both those who established and preserved the museum and to the museum staff member who accompanied them in their native language.

At the end, the guests were presented with two publications from the museum: "Mahsati Ganjavi: Portrait-Essay" (in Arabic) and "The Carpets of the Nizami Museum."
