The National Azerbaijani Literature Museum named after Nizami Ganjavi, in accordance with the Civil Defense Action Plan prepared for 2026, organized a special educational event on February 27, 2026, on the occasion of March 1 - World Civil Defense Day.

The event was held in the museum’s assembly hall. Ismayil Mukhtarov, Chief of the Museum’s Civil Defense Headquarters, made an introductory speech and explained in detail that this day has been celebrated all over the world since the establishment of the International Civil Defense Organization in 1972, that Azerbaijan has been a member of this organization since 1993, and the irreplaceable role of civil defense today.

The event provided participants with a practical demonstration of emergency rescue operations, firefighting techniques, and first aid. The museum’s civil defense equipment, posters, and thematic literature were exhibited.

At the end, a specially prepared video clip on the topic was shown to the participants.
