"Afrasiyab Badalbeyli. Explanatory monographical music vocabulary" has been presented at the National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.

State and government representatives, MPs, prominent figures of science and culture, musicians participated in the ceremony.

Scientific editor of the book, Director of the National Azerbaijan Literature Museum, academician Rafael Huseynov said that, the book, re-published with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was published on the occasion of unforgettable artists’ 110th and the Baku Music Academy’s (BMA) anniversaries. Looking at the life and creativity of the prominent composer, the scientist spoke about his unique place and services in the history of Azerbaijani culture. In the history of Azerbaijani music and art, Badalbeyli descendants have unique place and services. The unique art pearls and works created by them, enrich the musical treasure, and draw attention today with its topicality and originality, the speaker underlined.

Speaking at the event, Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said that outstanding musician had the exceptional service in the development, promotion and study of musical culture of Azerbaijan. Afrasiyab Badalbeyli's contribution to national music through his works is a separate stage in our heritage music and mugham studies, A.Garayev lined out.

Noting the great leader Heydar Aliyev's outstanding contribution to the development of Azerbaijani music culture in the post-soviet period, A.Garayev said that this policy is successfully pursued by the head of state. It was noted that today our state celebrates the jubilee of great writers, artists, musicians and scientists.

Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Entrepreneurship and Industry of the Milli Majlis, academician Ziyad Samadzadeh, rector of BMA, People's Artist Farhad Badalbeyli, academician Vasim Mammadaliyev, People's Artist Tofig Bakikhanov, Professor Telman Agdamski-Badalbeyli and others delivered speeches at A.Badalbeyli's scientific activity and shared their memories of the outstanding artists.

Honored Art Worker Ulviya Hajibeyova performed "Giz galasi" by A. Badalbeyli. People's Artist Nazaket Teymurova and Honored Artist Firuz Sakhavat performed the songs of the great artists composed in different drama works. Honored artists Nargiz Karimova and Ilham Nazarov performed for the first time the song dedicated to the outstanding artists.
