Aran Regional Branch of the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature after Nizami Ganjavi held the event dedicated to Jalil Mammadguluzade’s 150th anniversary, the outstanding writer-democrat and public figure, founder of the literary school “Molla Nasraddin” and critical realism in Azerbaijani literature.

At the event, head of the Aran Regional Branch of the Museum, PhD in Philology Yagut Bahadurgizi informed on the life and activity of the writer.

She said that, J.Mammadguluzade is a powerful personality, who had played an exceptional role in the development of Azerbaijani literature to a new level and formed a literary school.

He is not just a well-known journalist and publicist in the Azerbaijan literary literature, hi also a dramatic playwright and writer.

Accoding to the Order by AR President Ilham Aliyev “On the celebration of 150th Jalil Mammadguluzade’s anniversary” dated January 17, 2019 the number of events devoted to the 150th anniversary of the great writer was celebrated. Y.Bahadurgizi emphasized the importance of these events for the promotion of heritage a great writer, which includes a deep humanistic content, dramatic and prosaic works.

She noted that, journal “Molla Nasraddin” which is the result Mirza Jalil’s creative world, which played an important role in shaping public opinion and artistic thinking at the beginning of the 20th century.

Then, a language and literature teacher at Kurdamir secondary school No.6 Flora Aliyeva spoke about the Jalil Mammadguluzade’s activity.

Other speakers also told on the rich literary and artistic work of the outstanding writer Jalil Mammadguluzade and expressed their thoughts on his immortal works.

Then, was demonstrated a documentary on the life and activity of the writer.

At the ceremony, students of the Kurdamir secondary school No.6 read the feuilleton by the writer “Muslim”, “Riddle”, “Our Educated”, satirical poems “How do I know”, “Tale” etc.
